LinearPerspective (Two Point Perspective)
Two Point Perspective • Perspective that depicts three-dimensional objects receding or proceeding from two vanishing points on a two-dimensional surface.
Remember: In two-point perspective most lines are either vertical or orthogonals. There are rarely horizontal lines in two-point perspective!
If the box is on the horizon line, it will look similar to this:
Boxes with Imagination Using 2 Point Perspective, draw a stack of 5 or more boxes using a ruler and pencil. You can arrange them any way. Make 4 or 5 of the boxes open. Openings can be on top, sides, or front, but must be visible. They can be lids or flaps. Using your imagination, create a theme coming out of the boxes. It could be imaginary or realistic. Once all the drawing is complete, shade completely. Think about your light source. Values should range from light to dark. Be consistent with shadows and highlights. Fill your page completely.
2Point Perspective Sketch • Draw 2 of your initials in 2 point perspective in your sketchbook. • Turn the sketchbook horizontally. • USE A RULER!!!
