  2. Use the verb gustar to say what people like. If the thing they like is singular use gusta. If it’s plural, use gustan. Use ¿qué? with gusta to ask what someone likes. The verb gustar ¿Te gusta la pizza? Sí, y me gustan las verduras. Do you like pizza? Yes, and I like vegetables. Me gustan los carros. ¿Qué te gusta? I like cars. What do you like?

  3. Put one of these pronouns before gustar to say who likes something. Pronouns me gusta(n) I like nos gusta(n) we like te gusta(n) you like os gusta(n) you (vosotros) like le gusta(n) you (usted) like, he, she, it likes les gusta(n) you (ustedes) like, they like

  4. Notice that le can stand for you (usted), he, she or it; and les can stand for you(ustedes) or they. To ask who is being talked about, use aquién or aquiénes. Le and les ¿A quiénlegusta la pizza? ¿A quiéneslesgusta la pizza? Who likes pizza? Who likes pizza?

  5. To clarify who is being talked about, use a+ name(s). Le and les A Juanlegusta la pizza. A Juanya Saralesgusta la pizza. Juan likes pizza. Juan and Sara like pizza.

  6. Put the word no before the pronoun to say don’t or doesn’t. Using no No, nome gusta la fruta. ¿Te gusta la fruta?

  7. To ask why, use ¿por qué? Answer with porque(because). ¿Por qué? Me gusta porquees delicioso. ¿Por quéte gusta el helado?
