4. Prayer (in unison) Father, no one has ever been for us, the way Jesus is for us – right now. Therefore, open our eyes. Let us see the unquenchable passion of your precious Son that caused him to give himself for us – by coming, by suffering, by rising, by reigning. In this Christ Cast, we want to begin by rejoicing with the saints of all the ages – who, like us, have been united with him, crucified with him, raised with him, and enthroned with him. By your Spirit, draw us closer to him during these minutes. As you do, awaken us more fully to all that Easter means for us as part of his fourfold revolution of love – inexpressible, incomprehensible, inexhaustible. Christ is all! AMEN!

29. Romans 8:31-39 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one! God himself has given us right standing with himself.

30. Romans 8:31-39 (cont’d) Who then will condemn us? No one! Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us . . . He is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us. Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?

37. Philippians 2 Christ Jesus had equal status with God but didn't think so much of himself that he had to cling to the advantages of that status no matter what. Not at all. When the time came, he set aside the privileges of deity and took on the status of a slave, became human! Having become human, he stayed human. It was an incredibly humbling process. He didn't claim special privileges. Instead, he lived a selfless, obedient life and then died a selfless, obedient death – and the worst kind of death at that – a crucifixion. (The Message)
