RAVENS Responsible Citizen • Being respectful towards others (teachers, students, staff) • Doing your classwork & homework • Passing your classes In this class we will practice responsible citizenship by: • Learning about citizenship/civic responsibility • Learning to meet deadlines
RAVENS A critical thinker • Using critical thinking skills to analyze information In this class you will practice critical thinking by: • Using critical thinking to do map activities • Using critical thinking to do powerpoints, projects, and essays • Group Activities and simulations
RAVENS An individual who values world culture • Learning/understanding other cultures • Being tolerant of other cultures In this class you will learn to value world culture by: • Learning about the culture of each continent as we go through the units • Doing powerpoints & projects on different countries
RAVENS Exploration of the career pathways (career-oriented student) • Being focused on future careers • Taking classes related to your future career • Learning skills that you will need in the workplace In this class we you will be career-oriented students by: • Discussing graduation credits and correlating school to jobs
RAVENS Notably Effective Communicator • Learning to speak in front of others • Learning to discuss/debate in front of others In this class you will be effective communicator through: • Powerpoint presentations • Discussions • Group Presentations
RAVENS A self-directed lifelong learner • Learning to complete projects independently • Learning to do research in order to complete assignments In this class you will be a self-directed lifelong learner by: • Doing essays • Completing powerpoints/projects
