Student Orientation All students will prepare for orientation by viewing the on-line presentation Modules number 1 through number 9.
Welcome to UMMMC online student self-directed orientation program. Please review all the content modules 1-9. You are responsible for this content and will be expected to use this information throughout your clinical experience. All students will be expected to complete an orientation quiz with a passing grade of 80%. One make-up quiz will be allowed. All wrong answers will be reviewed.
Policy and Procedures Section 2.04 of your school student agreement states : School shall require all Students to comply with all Policies and Procedures of UMMMC during the Program. On site clinical Faculty will be expected to familiarize themselves with and then orient the students to, all hospital policies and procedures, equipment and unit specific care and safety practices. Students on site with out faculty will be expected to ask their preceptor to direct them to and familiarize themselves to all hospital policies and procedure, equipment and unit specific care and safety practices
Please review all on –line modules prior to orientation appointment 1. Please bring a copy of all required documents. 2. All students must provide a copy of their immunization record (including evidence of a two-step TST and evidence of immunity, MMR, hepatitis B, tetanus and varicella) All students must provide evidence of flu vaccine. Form is attached. 3. In accordance with the student affiliation agreement the college must submit a letter stating that a CORI check was completed on each student and was returned with a result of "no record"
INSTRUCTIONS • After completion of this presentation, call the Office of Student Affiliations at 774-442-5701 for an appointment to complete the required test and final requirements for clinical clearance. • Final clearance will be granted during this appointment, providing all paperwork is complete • Student will then contact the preceptor or supervisor for a start date and schedule
