  5. Internet Internet based courses provide education independent of time and location also known as asynchronous.

  6. Interactive Television or ITV Interactive TV provides learning at a specific time and place, allowing you to take a course from one location while the instructor teaches from another.. Located at Kaua`i Community College Learning Resource Center, Room 122

  7. POLYCOM POLYCOM (audio/video conferencing) is similar to ITV allowing you to take a course from one location while the instructor teaches from another.. Located at Kaua`i Community College Learning Resource Center, Room 121

Proctoring • How does it work? • Inform your teacher that you will be taking your exams on Kaua`i. • Call the Test Center to make an appointment. • (808) 245-8306 • Allow yourself ample time to complete your test before closing times. • Schedule early, especially for finals week. • Call us to verify that your test has been received before coming in to take your test.

  11. Proctoring (continued) • On Test Day, • Bring your photo ID and any allowable materials. • Evening access (4:30PM – 7PM) • Through TC back door only. Call 245-8306 or knock on window and we’ll let you in. • Available Days/Hours: M-F only. • M-F, 8:00am – 11:45am • Afternoons: 1:00pm – 4:00pm • Open until 7pm, two nights per week starting the 4th week of the semester. • Blocked/Limited seating • Please check www.tinyurl.com/kcctest. • More information? www.tinyurl.com/kcctest

  12. Tutoring Hours:7:30 AM – 7:00 PM Monday – Thursday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Friday Location: Located in Learning Commons Tutoring is available for math on a walk in basis. Tutoring for writing is available by appointment. Other subjects as requested. Brush Up, Study Skills workshops, Computer skills

  13. Financial Aid In order to receive financial aid for Distance-Education classes, you must: 1. Declare Kaua`i Community College as your home campus and be seeking a degree from Kaua`i CC; 2. Be enrolled in at least three (3) credits at Kaua`i CC; 3. Complete the DE Verification Form and have and have a Kaua`i CC academic counselor certify that your course(s) applies towards your Kaua`i CC degree. YOU are responsible for tuition due to campuses other than Kaua`i CC.
