  3. Preparation of Debate teams-Cover Sheet • Vote for the FOUR topics that will be debated • Write the four topics that will be debated on your cover sheet • Randomly choose your topic and side • Meet in your groups and determine assignment roles for each person • Begin organizing & planning

  4. Debate Assignment Breakdown • Debate cover sheet-roles & assignments(Group grade) 10 pts. • Overall quality & organization of your team & role • Staying within Time frames for intro. (3-5 min) & rebuttals (2 min) • Providing a “Biological” connection to your arguments • Using RESEARCH to Constructing a strong argument for your side • Data & Key Statistics are used in your presentation & defense • Defending your position (responding to questions in a clear & timely fashion) • Overall attitude& respect toward others • Written outline of your presentation with COPIES of ALL research (1st pgs) • Individual Participation form15 pts. • Must be completely filled out • Must have your personal research printouts attached • Specific points highlighted • Audience Participation forms(x3) 15 pts. • All three forms must be completely filled out • Your attention, respect, and engagement while the debates are going on.
