  2. Name the capital city. The capital city of Sweden is Stockholm. It has a population of about 736,000.

  3. Name the River that runs through the city There is no river that runs through the city as such. Stockholm is like no other capital in the world. Built on 14 islands, it rises gracefully from water so clean that you can swim or fish in the very heart of the city.

  4. Sweden’s Flag The Swedish flag is blueand yellow.

  5. Name the King, Queen or President of the country. The King of Sweden is called Carl Gustaf who was born April 30th 1946.

  6. Name three landmarks of the country. • The Turning Torso • The Royal Palace of Drottningholm • TheLäckö Castle

  7. Landmark – The Turning Torso The Turning Torso is the highest building in Sweden. It is 54 stories high, built in a series of cubes, the top one being at a 90 degree angle to the one at the base.

  8. Landmark – The Royal Palace of Drottningholm The Royal Palace of Drottningholm (meaning Queens Island) was built in 1662.

  9. Landmark – The Läckö Castle Läckö Castle is one of many medieval castles in Sweden. It was built in the late 13th century.
