  3. Introduction • Wildlife conservation Act. These are law enacted by parliament after independence to protect and conserve the wildlife resources for both present and future generation. • Wildlife conservation Act no. 5 of 2009. These laws enacted by parliament on how to select the leaders, they are functions and arrangement of good utilization of wildlife resources.

  4. Part II. This part is explaining the objectives of the Act and promotion of the wildlife policies. • Part III. • This part is explaining about the Institutional Arrangement and Administration. (Director of wildlife, wildlife Authority, unity and Right to possess and use firearms and ammunition).

Part II 5.(I)The objectives of this Act (part II) and to which all person exercising powers, applying or interpreting this Act are to; 5(I a).Protect and conserve and administer on biological diversity of wildlife habitats includes wetland with special conservation status to endemic, rare or endanger wildlife species. (I b).protect and conserve wildlife resources and its habitats in Protected Areas through appropriate infrastructure sufficient personnel and equipment.

Part II Cont… 5(I c).To promote and enhance the benefits of wildlife sector for the sustainable use of present and future generation without discrimination. 5(I d).Enhancing the bio-diversity conservation through the development of wildlife ecosystem. 5(I e).Wildlife Protected Areas network, support, strengthen and enlarge. 5(I f).Effecting community based conservation in order to conserve wildlife and its habitats outsides wildlife Protected Areas through Wildlife Management Areas.

Part II cont… 5(I g).Encourage and facilitates active involvement and participation of local and tradition communities in sustainable management and conservation. 5(I h).Benefit sharing of wildlife resources through a local communities management by integrating wildlife conservation with rural development. 5(I i ).Sustainable and legal use of wildlife resources.(efficiency for present and future generation). 5(I j).Public awareness of cultural, economical and social benefits for conservation of wildlife resources.

Part II cont…… 5(I k).Solving human-wildlife conflict wherever they occur. 5(I L).Investment for both the private sector and Tanzanian citizen different forms of wildlife utilization and conservation. 5(I m).Tanzania position while participate relevant international agreement wildlife conservation. 5(2).Legal compensation as per land acquisation Act and Land Act for the land declared to be game reserve. 6.Promotion for the wildlife policy.

Part III. 7(1).Appointment of director of wildlife with accordance to public service Act. 2.Director qualification in wildlife services.(civil servant proven academic and professional knowledge in wildlife science.) 3.Incharge of the wildlife division. 4.Advisors to government in matter related to conservation and management wildlife and wildlife products who shall be the director as principal advisor, wildlife warden, wildlife officers and wildlife ranger as assistant advisors. 5.The director shall designate suitable wildlife officers to be licensing officers for the purposes of this Act.

By notice in the nation gazette or by writing the director by delegate his function to an assistant director ,a zone Ant-poaching commander, district game officers, game reserved wildlife officers, a park warden and any other authorized. 7.Pursuant to subsection (6) shall be exercising the power of the director. 8.Establishment of wildlife authority (Tanzania wildlife authority) by the minister in consultation with other relevant authorities and other written laws.

Part III cont…. 9.Insuance of honorary certificate by minister to; 9(a).Any person who has provided exemplary services of at least 20 years. 9(b).Any person who has provided a significant contribution toward conservation of wildlife. 10(I).Minister to established. The wildlife protection until after the consultation with the relevant authorities. 10(2).Ant-poaching until staff who shall be among wildlife officer, wildlife warden and wildlife ranger in consultation with the director.

Escaping or attempting to escaping arrest b.Resisting the rest. 13(4).The uses of firearm by authorized officers in the wildlife sector against any person; a. By force prevent or attempting to prevent the lawful arrest of any other person. b. By force, rescue or attempting to rescue any other person from lawful custody.

  15. Part III cont… 13(5).The use of firearms in enforcing the provision of this Act. (any authorized officer may use a firearm against any person where such authorized officer has a reasonable ground to believe that the officer or any other person is in danger) 13(6).the power conferred on authorized officer in this section.(the power shall be in addition to and not in derogation of any other law) 13(7). Subjection to the Arms and Ammunition Act by wildlife officers or any other written law in possessing and use of firearms.( regardless the provision of subjection (I) wildlife officers shall be subject to the Arms and Ammunition act and other written law)

Part III cont…. 13(8)For the purpose of this section “authorized officer” means a wildlife officer discharging duties in the wildlife Division, the Tanzania national park, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a District Game officer and include any wildlife officer, warden and wildlife ranger discharging duties under the District Game Officer.

  17. conclusion The wildlife conservation Act this was enacted by the parliament in order to conserve and to protect wildlife resources for the development of the country present and future generation.
