Problem Remedy = Instruction • Provide interactive, basic APA guide available to NIU IT students • Module 1: Reference Page Format • Link APA Online site to IT website
Audience Analysis • Graduate students in NIU’s IT program • Wide skill levels • Generally commuters • Most students have Internet access at home or work
Goals • Provide an interactive learning opportunity to better reinforce APA citation format (reference page) • Provide a quick reference guide to APA style • less intimidating and more convenient for students • Provide links that will encourage students to learn more about APA style
After completing the web-based Module 1, students will be able to properly format a reference page in APA format, considering: header, margins, alpha listing, indents, line spacing After completing the web-based Module 1, students will be able to properly list each of the following sources in a reference page in APA format: book, journal, website, daily newspaper article Objectives
