Fafsa Timeline • fafsa.ed.gov • Create FSA ID prior to filling out FAFSA • Need social security number • FAFSA opens October 1st • Will need 2017 W2 (or use the retrieval tool) • Priority deadline is February 1st • If parents and/or student is undocumented, do not complete the FAFSA
Scholarships • www.northtowncounseling.com • Scholarship tab – listed by month of due date • www.nexttier.com • Username: 123456 (student ID #) • Password: nkc123456 (nkc followed by student ID #) • Search financial aid website for schools of interest • For example, UM system scholarship deadline is December 15th.
