  6. Fafsa Timeline • fafsa.ed.gov • Create FSA ID prior to filling out FAFSA • Need social security number • FAFSA opens October 1st • Will need 2017 W2 (or use the retrieval tool) • Priority deadline is February 1st • If parents and/or student is undocumented, do not complete the FAFSA

Scholarships • www.northtowncounseling.com • Scholarship tab – listed by month of due date • www.nexttier.com • Username: 123456 (student ID #) • Password: nkc123456 (nkc followed by student ID #) • Search financial aid website for schools of interest • For example, UM system scholarship deadline is December 15th.

  11. ACT Scores • Visit ACT.org to request official score report • ACT will send your official score reports to up to 4 schools (20 if free/reduced) • This must be designated during test registration • NCAA - 9999

  14. To Do List: • Set up college visits and visit fairs • Create an email account just for communicating with colleges – then check it! Get your parents involved with this • Develop a time management tool to keep track of deadlines
