NEO PPMD Project Objectives To Improve Understanding: • of service best-practice; • of women’s lived experiences; • of delivering PPMD services in NEO communities; To Improve Access: • to PPMD services in the cities and surrounding areas of Sudbury, Timiskaming, Nipissing, Muskoka, Parry Sound, Timmins and Sault St. Marie.
Results • Participating communities identified: • discrepancies; • existence of stigma, shame & isolation; • Lack of awareness; • disparities in available services; • community collaboration vital.
Conclusion • Within Canada this Strategy is unique • Consideration of the parent child dyad • the New Zealand model • This work is not done • Phase II of The Project
