Cross Country Time Trials 2010 Time Taken: 31 mins, 39sec Reflection: It was hard and it took a while. I want to try and run for ¾ of it, at least. Time Taken: 30 min 30 sec Reflection: It was easier because I had been training and I am getting used to it. Distance Run: 3 kilometres Thursday 19th August Thursday 5th August Time Taken:29 mins 16 secs Reflection: My muscles are getting used to it and they don’t hurt a much. Thursday 12th August Thursday 26th August Time Taken:27 mins 20 secs Reflection: it was really slippery but the mud helped me slip my way to the finish line beating my time by 2 mins Next P.E Page
Inquiry into Cross Country My Question: What helps me keep healthy for the cross country What I have found out: To be healthy for the cross country I need to have a healthy diet so that means not to much fat and sugar and lots of fruit and veggies. Train every day so my muscles will be healthy for the cross country. Get at least 9-10 hours of sleep every night. Next P.E Page
Cross Country 2010 Tiniroto, Friday 17th September 2010 My Reflection: The weather was perfect for the races but it started to pack up at end so they didn’t do the prize giving. I was really nervous. I ran the hole way and sprinted across the finish line. It wasn’t that muddy but still had to have a shower afterwards. I came 8th.

Speeches 2010 L.I : We are learning to deliver a persuasive speech/informative speech that kept the audience attention, kept them interested, was entertaining and convinced the audience to believe in your point of view. Parents Response: I felt so proud of you and your beautiful clear voice. Your idea of the ever changing book was my favourite bit. Well done. My reflection: It was hard and I was really nervous . One of the judges comments was: “This was a very engaging speech from start to finish.” I came third with 38 points. Back

Back My thoughts : It was fun doing the science fair because we launched rockets which was really successful. We got a bronze award.

My Reading Progress My Goal for Term 3 : To improve my comprehension. Term 4: Term 3: 13-14 yrs Term 2: 13.5-14.5 yrs Term 1: 13-14 yrs How am I getting on? Have a look at my Probe Assessment.
This was a non-fiction assessment, which meant there were lots of tricky key words. I liked the description of the creature. Next time I will include my video of me reading, so we can talk about the fluency and expression.
Art My Reflection: It was fun and I did better than I thought I would. Inside the dolphin is a scene of a beech. This is my finished painting and assessment. This is my sketching practice.
Camp 2010 Day 2: First we did flying kiwi which is were you get in a harness with a rope attached which went up to the ceiling and came back down to were everyone pulled so that you went up. Then we did indoor rock climbing, orienteering and BMX. Day 1: Bang! Ting! Thump! We only did air rifle shooting today because we had just arrived. I travelled with Phillip, Hannah and Pippa. Day 4: It rained all day so we did team building all day. We played lots of problem solving games. Then we watched the movie UP. Day 3: We did top team which is were you are in 2 teams and do lots of different actives. We also did archery, flying fox and indoor hockey. Day 5: We travelled home. I went with Phillip, Hannah and Pippa. We ate lots of lollies on the way home! Camp Photos
