Greek Mobility Centres Network The Greek Mobility Centres Network is a part of the European Network of Mobility Centres (EURAXESS) since 2003 Main Objectives To offer global and integrated services of information and proximity assistance to mobile researchers in matters such as: • entry conditions • visas • work permits • recognition of diplomas • job opportunities • salaries • taxation • pension rights • health care • social security • accommodation • day care, • schooling, • language courses • access to the culture of the host country, etc.

  3. Target Groups • Researchers and their families • Universities, Research Organizations • Private Sector – Industry • Ministries, Policy Makers

Geographical Coverage • 12 EURAXESS Service Centres • Democritus University of Thrace • CERTH (BHO) • Aristotle University of Thessaloniki • International Hellenic University • University of Ioannina • University of Thessaly • University of the Aegean • National Hellenic Research Foundation • Industrial Property Organisation • University of Patras • Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas • University of Crete

Statistics From 1/9/2006 to 31/12/2010, the Greek EURAXESS Services Network has assisted (source EURAXESS Extranet): • More than 3000 researchers in… • More than 5600 questions • The average speed of answering is: 2 days • Most popular topics are: • Entry Conditions / Visa • Researchers Funding Opportunities • Job Opportunities • Accommodation

Other Activities • Charter & Code • Signing of Charter & Code from the members of the Greek Mobility Centres Network • Charter & Code already signed by CERTH, NHRF, Univ. of Crete, Univ. of Thessaly, Univ. of Ioannina and Univ. of Partras • The procedure is in development also in Aristotle Universityand Univ. of Aegean • Conference of Rectors of Greek Universities • Telephone contacts related to C&C with other Research Organizationsand Universities in Greece

  7. Other Activities • 2. Publication of jobs inEURAXESS Jobs Portal • Increase of jobs postings from60in 2009 to 279 in 2010. (target 30% increase, achieved over 400%) • Activation of inactive organizations that has published up to 1 job

Promotion of Network and Services • Promotion in related events (egMarie Curie events) • Presentations in events with relevant content (eg Congress of New Researchers from South-Eastern Europe - Thessaloniki September 2010) • Promotion via National and European programs (egReN2010, EURAXESS TOP: Training session inZagreb)

Other Activities • 4.Active participation in the activities of European Network and GSRT • Steering Group Human Resources and Mobility • Working Groups (WG Promotion, WG Quality, WG Network Management) • HR Strategy Group • National Working Group for the Action Plan related to the Partnership • Educational seminars (egBrussels, Zagreb)
