HW Test Group • RF Performance Test • RF Performance measurement against 3GPPI Bluetooth standard • RF selection of special samples for type approval • RF performance test system development and maintenance • Base Band Test • Power, Battery &Charging test • Temperature profile test • FPC test, IrDa, USB Test • BB Test system development and maintenance

TA Test Group • RF Conformance test and Protocol Test of GSM/GPRS/EGPRS/WCDMA/TDD • Build up type approval test environments incl. investigation, order quotation, installation and integration • Product development complained internal test • Type approval test in own test lab (after ISO9001 certification and qualification of in-house test capability) • Support conformance tests in case the test is performed by external accredited testing house • Plan, Performing and report of test • Defects detecting, analyzing, report, tracking and retest

SW test group • SW Test Development (STD) • technology trends, OMA, 3GPP and other application standards • build up test environments • develop test specifications • refine test management workflow • automatic test management/execution/reporting • perform test of product projects • Test Process & Tool (TPT) • Build up and improve SW Test Process incl. templates/checklist • Develop software test tools • Improve test efficiency and accuracy

Field test group • Field test and operator test • Conduct field test to make sure meet customer’s requirement • Support operator to complete operator approval test • Interface to technical marketing for issue tracking and problem solving • Provide test report in time as input for product shipment approval • Test Process & Tool (TPT) • Build up and improve Test Process incl. templates/checklist • Develop software test tools • Improve test efficiency and accuracy • refine test management workflow • automatic test management/execution/reporting

Project Management group • System Test Management • Follow up customer’s requirements and modify the test tools accordingly • Manage system test activities of project to approach the time plan and resource plan • Define project test time schedule, setup test plan, control the test progress and the product quality • Coordinate activities between ST and the other PD groups • Follow up the SW/HW modification and update test plan & test activities • Prototype plan for the Dev. team • Type Approval of product projects • R&TTE(CE mark), GCF, PTCRB certification • FCC/IC certificate coordination • China NA/TA/CCC • TCF filing, SW/HW modification description, test coordination, approval application, IMEI application • Coordination with test house and notified body

Tasks across the groups • Processes • Build up and improve SW/HW Test Process incl. templates/checklist • continuously improve process to fix findings, refine daily work • Management System • Build up, maintain of test management system incl. • DUT management system • Test cases management system • Test equipment management system • Test environment management system • Lab Management • Define and build up test lab management according to ISO/IEC 17025 • Get qualification of in-house test capability by one or two international • accredited test house for the 1-phase • Certified with ISO-17025 for the 2-phase
