HOSA WEEK 2012 This week is HOSA Week! Our nationally recognized HOSA organization invites you to become more informed about the HOSA organization by taking time to read the signs posted throughout the school with HOSA trivia! To commemorate this week we will have a “QUESTION OF THE DAY!” Students may email their answers to the trivia question to Mrs. Shealy at SEShealy@lexington1.net. Be the first to submit the correct answer! Winners will receive the FREE BAGEL of their choice!
Today’s HOSA Trivia Question! Where is the location of the National HOSA Competition for the 2013 year?
Penny Wars In honor of HOSA Week, December 10-14, we have decided to bring back our "Rival Penny Wars!" The Gamecocks won the battle on the football field and the Tigers won the basketball game. Now, it is Gilbert High's turn to decide who has the most caring fans! December 10-14, during all 3 lunches, HOSA students will be collecting money for our national service project, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. For every coin placed in your favorite teams bucket, your favorite team will receive points. (1 nickel = 5 points, 1 quarter = 25 points, etc) If you want to subtract points from your rival's total, just donate your bills. (1 dollar = 100 points, 20 dollars = 2000 points, etc.) On Friday, December 14th, we will play the most caring fans' favorite "fight" song at the end of the day!!! Let the games begin!!!!
…And now, this bulletin just in… Starting the 3rd quarter and Clemson has taken a surprise lead. (Thanks to an IPTAY benefactor with paper money!) Don't forget to donate your change to your favorite team and your bills to your rival team. Collection buckets will be available during lunch for the students and there is one in the teacher's workroom for the staff. The winning team, with the most caring fans, will have their "fight song" played at the end of the pep rally tomorrow. Let the BEST team win!!! GO TIGERS! (from Hilton to Cato)
