Prom 2013 Prom tickets will go on sale soon!  The cost is $30 per ticket for juniors and any senior who needs a second ticket.  Seniors will receive one free ticket.  A reminder to juniors or seniors: you may not give your ticket to another junior or senior.  Names will be written on the tickets to verify this.  Whatever you were classified at the beginning of the school year will be your classification for the prom.  You must have your ticket to enter prom! Check out the email that went out yesterday for details about the prom.

  4. It’s Here! It is OPENING NIGHT for GHS Main Street Players production of… Little Shop of Horrors Thursday, Feb. 28 Friday, March 1 and Saturday, March 2 7:00 pm GHS Theater Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students The musical is a love story about a boy, a girl and a carnivorous plant, so BEWARE!  Come out and see the show, and you will why you shouldn’t feed the plants!

  5. Want to be a WINNER?! This week in honor of the production Little Shop of Horrors, we are going to have a trivia contest each day.  The first person to email the answer to Chilton@lexington1.net wins today’s prize of a $10.00 Gift Certificate to the GHS Greenhouse.  Today’s question is: Little Shop of Horrors utilizes a Greek Chorus in the action of the play. This was a technique used in plays such as Antigone. What is the purpose of a Greek Chorus? (Mrs. Bentley will be able to answer this one!)

  6. Attention Students! Yearbooks are on sale NOW!! If you have not bought one yet, time may be running out!!! A yearbook staff member may be contacting you to encourage you to buy one soon! See Mrs. Bentley in Room 232 for details.

  7. Senior News! Jostens will be delivering senior supplies during lunches on March 12th.  In order to receive your supplies, your balance must be paid in full.  You may pay this balance on March 12th by cash or money order.  Don’t know your balance?  No worries!  Just email or stop by to see Mrs. Gibbons.  Can’t pay your balance by March 12th?  No problem!  Jostens will be back again on April 9th.
