Implementations: e-RailFreight a short summary • The project’s objectives: • to develop EDI processes for the exchange of consignment note data, • to reduce administrative costs, • to make the consignment note data being exchanged more accurate and to speed up the exchange of data.
e-RailFreight – future development of the system • Priority given to electronic procedures, paper processes becoming the exception • Reduction of the functions which the consignment note can play • CIT Expert Group • Next revision of the CIM Uniform Rules
