What’s new with 4980 R2.3 (1) • Multi-device handling with “Twinset” mode • New desktop service – two phones + PC, Twinset“The Alcatel 4980 application moves from being device centric to user centric by handling all user desktop communication devices with unrivaled ergonomics.” • Simplification • one user license for “n” devices (typically VoIP PC + PWT, UA + PWT, etc.) • clear offer for Nomads (IP / PC telephony)

What’s new with 4980 R2.3 (2) • “4980 + CCagent” Application Coupling • New desktop solution for “casual” agent • One server, one administration • At the agent’s desktop level: • launch both applications from one screen, with choice of which GUI to display • one application visible on PC • automatic client switching via agent log-on / log-off icon / softkey • All other features and integration (Lotus, CRM, etc.) remain specific to each application • Needs 4980 GroupWare license, CCa & CCti R4.2 • No specific sales bundle

  4. What’s new with 4980 R2.3 (3) • Windows XP compliance • Win XP compliance for 4980 client at desktop • Simplified “user customization” • Now all parameters are within reach from one view • Functional groups of parameters • appearance, call, application coupling • Easy and advanced mode

What’s new with 4980 R2.3 (4) • Enhanced Manager / Secretary GroupWare • Remote call logging view • manager can see what happens with the overflow calls (filtered calls or unconditional forwarded calls go to the secretary) • SDK OLE enhancements • Unconditional forwarding, forward upon ringing • Phone book access These services are available with Alcatel OmniPCX 4400 R3.x up to R4.2 except for multi-device, which is available only with OmniPCX 4400 R4.1 and R4.2

  6. Multi-device (1) • Multi-device handling • One license covers several desktop devices belonging to the same user • With Twinset feature (PC is the master device) Outgoing call can easily be set up on a PC, desk phone, or mobile phone.
