MPI Example # of Below Basic Students – 25 25 X 1 = 25 mpi points # of Basic Students – 25 25 X 3 = 75 mpi points # of Proficient Students – 25 25 X 4 = 100 mpi points # of Advanced Students – 25 25 X 5 = 125mpi points Total MPI 325 MPI pts./100 students = 3.25 * 100 = 325 MPI A 300 MPI would equate to all students being considered Basic A 400 MPI would equate to all students being considered Proficient A 500 MPI would equate to all students scoring Advanced
