Education Criteria Purposes • TASBO Honor Roll School District Program Adapted from Malcolm Baldrige Education Criteria http://baldrige.nist.gov/index.html • to help improve organizational performance practices, capabilities, and results • to facilitate communication and sharing of best practices information among school districts • to serve as a working tool for understanding and managing performance and for guiding organizational planning and opportunities for learning
Education Criteria Goals • delivery of ever-improving value to students and stakeholders, contributing to education quality and organizational stability • improvement of overall organizational effectiveness and capabilities • organizational and personal learning

Tiered Award System • Multiple tiers to recognize schools districts according to stages of implementation of continuous improvement systems and processes • Tier I • Implementation of training programs for all stakeholders, and initial organization of staff to begin design of continuous improvement systems and processes • Tier II • Partial progress made in design and implementation of continuous improvement systems and processes • Tier III • Design of continuous improvement systems and processes completed, and implemented by some stakeholders • Tier IV • Continuous improvement systems and processes implemented, and use of results data for improvements by some stakeholders • TASBO Honor Roll School District Award • Continuous improvement systems and processes implemented by all stakeholders, and use of results data for improvements by all stakeholders
