  2. LA HISTORIA- THE HISTORY Latin music originates from Latin America. The first recognized Latin music was salsa. artist’s like cuco valoy (Colombia) , Celia Cruz (Puerto rico), willy colon (Cuba) were among the first pioneers of the Latin Salsa movement. They were all signed to platano records .which later on in the early twentieth century reformed and became known as bmg us Latin which houses over ¾ of Latin artist now a days. They house calamaro the biggest Latin artist as named at the premios ondas however new upcoming artist temperamento is on the verge of taking calamaro’s throne . 2 2

  3. LA MUSICA- THE MUSIC The Latin music industry can be divided into many genres, each genre has its own varied style and key artist, the oldest and most significant genre that identifies the whole of the Latin music industry is Salsa which was first recognised in the 1960’s and originates in Cuba. Most recognised artist is recently decised Celia Cruz. From salsa the Latin industry moved on towards Latin rock which was really pioneered on by the one and only Ramón. The most modern convention of Latin music is the Spanish hip hop / regaeton scene where the classic drum beat from reggae music has been splashed with Latin instruments and hip hop style rapping only in Spanish and attempted English.

  4. La gente - the people At the moment there is no music magazine that specifically looks at the Latin genre in whole or in detail most magazines just look at the genre and dedicate at least one article to the genre. So I will not really have any competition in this aspect.
