MG-NREGAguarantees to provide 100 days of unskilled manual work in a FY to all rural households whose adult members, by application, volunteer to do unskilled manual work.(subject to the conditions laid down under the Act and in the scheme)
Section 15(3): PO is responsible for matching the demand for employment with the employment opportunities arising from projects in the area under his jurisdiction.Section 15(4): Programme Officer is responsible for preparation of works plan and LB for the Block under his jurisdiction by consolidating the project proposals prepared by GPs and the proposal received from intermediate Panchayats.
Labour Budget is to be prepared by :1. Assessment of the quantum and timing of demand for work.Indicator 1. (Number of JCs issued in a GP)Indicator 2. (Number of Persondays of employment generated month-wise in the previous FY)2. Baseline Survey.A door to door survey of JC holders is to be mandatorily conducted in every GP to prepare a baseline to assess the quantum and timing of demand for employment in the GP.The survey will illicit seasonal demand for labour from each JC holder in the GP.(4th edition of MGNREGA Guidelines – baseline survey for all GPs to be completed in FY 2013-14)Important: Annual LBs for the year 2014-15 will be approved only when LB is formulated on the basis of a survey of JC holders Mathematical calculation of LB
