  4. 2012 Findings • Survey questions were changed: • 2011: Rate the needs of homeless Veterans in your community. • 2012: “Based on your experience as a homeless or formerly homeless Veteran, please help us understand how well your needs are being met,” and “Based on your experience serving homeless Veterans, please help us understand how well the needs of male and female Veterans are being met” • Scale changed from 1 (unmet) – 5 (met) to 1 (never met) to 4 (always met) • Scores grouped by male and female, no overall score as in previous years • Community Partnership questions changed to Accessibility questions • Housing for Registered Sex Offenders remained the #1 highest unmet need (overall in 2011, for both male and female in 2012).

  15. 2013 Survey • The 2013 CHALENG survey will be completed on the web http://www.va.gov/HOMELESS/chaleng.asp. • The 2013 CHALENG survey will be open from June 21, 2013 until December 31, 2013. • Survey takes approximately 5 minutes to complete • Survey link can be used in all forms of communication, web messages, facebook, blogs, e-mail blasts, hand outs, letters, and any other communication tools you wish to use.
