New Rules

Golden Time now all afternoon but only for children with brown eyes. iPads, laptop trolley and ICT suite now only for children with brown eyes. Children with blue eyes cannot be prefects or monitors or do jobs in the classroom. This is not fair – and is obviously is not happening.

But something similar used to happen in a country called South Africa until one man changed it. New Rules

  4. Father was a Thembu African chief. Very well respected by his tribe Mandela spent his days farming, fishing or swimming Early childhood

  5. No free schools Mandela was son of a chief so allowed to go Worked so hard eventually becoming a lawyer Education

  6. “Apartheid” People labelled according to colour of skin White people got all the privileges Apartheid and segregation

  7. Mandela joined the “African National Congress” ANC believed in equal rights for everyone Becoming involved in politics

  8. Peaceful at first 1960 Sharpeville protest: 69 black Africans killed; 186 injured Most of protestors shot in the back Mandela and ANC changed their mind about peaceful protest Mandela arrested in 1963 and jailed Sent to prison

  9. Worldwide campaign against apartheid Mandela became an international figure 1984 protest song reached No. 9 in the charts Finally released in 1990 Released after 27 years

  10. Soon apartheid officially ended. Mandela became the first black President of South Africa 1994 until 1999 Retired from public life in 2004 President of South Africa
