Monday Exec Meeting-Portland • Small surplus from CY 2000 • Orlando interim meeting ran a $48K surplus • Propose using surplus to fund plenary network costs for a year • Closing SEC meeting will now be Friday afternoon (3-7 this meeting) • “Get IEEE 802” program is up and running. 130,000 downloads so far Robert F. Heile

  3. Monday Exec Meeting-Portland • Discussion on mechanisms and missions for 802 level Coexistence and Regulatory functions • Issue of Roberts Rules version listing raised for further discussion • 802 Chair election process reviewed-election to take place in Nov 2001. Robert F. Heile

Monday Exec Meeting-Portland • Number of PARs going to NesCom is decreasing overall (but not 802) • NesCom is instituting continuous processing. • Carlo promoting getting wireless representation on NesCom and RevCom • 802.3 EFM PAR and 5 Criteria tutorial Monday • 802.16.2a PAR up for review-deals with extensions to the licensed bands Robert F. Monday Exec Meeting-Portland • 5GSG PAR on the table for review-will possibly be postponed and SG extended dependent on 802.11 review. • IEEE is looking at revising and strengthening the process for the use of its marks on products and packaging • Vic looking for approval on draft position paper to FCC.
