Monday Exec Meeting-Vancouver • 972 paid registrants at St. Louis • Meeting loss of ($2,700) • Closing SEC meeting if Friday 1-5pm • SEC/BoG meeting 5-6pm--Topics include communication, high cost of standards, conformance testing, and trademark policy • No requests for Technical Tutorials--instead IEEE staff will do a standards development process overview Robert F. Heile

  3. Monday Exec Meeting-Vancouver • IEEE Canada Standards Committee meeting this week at the Fairmont • Tues 1-5pm • Weds 8am-noon • IEEE SA Board of Governer’s Meeting also meeting at the Fairmont • Weds 3-6pm, Thurs 8-5pm, Fri 8-330pm Robert F. Heile

Monday Exec Meeting-Vancouver • Vote on 2nd Vice Chair position slated for Friday closing SEC meeting • SA wants to approve 802 position statements- could be a real problem • Trademark policy will be discussed in the Garibaldi room in the Faimont form 10-11am (should be entertaining) Robert F. Monday Exec Meeting-Vancouver • Get802 program put back to what it was and funds have been released • Proposed extension to the Get 802 program: • current standards only • continue 6 month wait, pdf only, three year pilot with annual review • seeking corporate sponsorships, have landed ~6 • downloads running around 40k per month Robert F. Monday Exec Meeting-Vancouver • Frustration on participation with the 802 News function--meeting schduled to recommend a policy to adopt on not on Friday • Proposed a chair’s guideline on OID Arcs and Procedures to rationalize the process • Update on Study Group 3a in 802.15 • Heads up on High Through-put and Radio Resource Measurements SGs plans for 802.11 Robert F. Monday Exec Meeting-Vancouver • 802.16 plans to move 16a and 16c forward to sponsor ballot • This is the kick-off plenary for 802.18 • Update on the 802 Coex SG • Heads-up and conditional approval to move 82.15.4 to sponsor ballot • Closing Plenary rules change discussed-final vote on Friday Robert F. Heile

Monday Exec Meeting-Vancouver • Comment resolution on electronic balloting- vote scheduled for Friday • Continued discussion on SEC 2nd Vice Chair- next meeting scheduled for Tuesday, vote scheduled for Friday • Meeting to develop position on interim quorum rules scheduled for Tuesday Robert F.
