  1. Klahanie Park • 64 acres adjacent to Challenger • Extends from 32nd St. to Klahanie Blvd • Includes open field and wetlands Concerned Citizens of Klahanie www.klahanie.org

  2. Who are we? Klahanie residents concerned about proposed changes to Klahanie Park NOT elected officials NOT affiliated with the KHOA Concerned Citizens of Klahanie www.klahanie.org

  3. Why did we organize? We feel the park transfer to Sammamish and the proposed “improvements” will: Negatively impact the Klahanie experience (traffic, vandalism) Reduce the attractiveness of Klahanie as an annex to either Issaquah or Sammamish Depress property values throughout Klahanie Concerned Citizens of Klahanie www.klahanie.org

  4. What are our objectives? • Obtain and disseminate information on the issue of Klahanie Park • Make recommendationsto: • Local governments • Klahanie residents Concerned Citizens of Klahanie www.klahanie.org

  5. Our Current Thinking Klahanie Park needs to stay with Klahanie PAA Klahanie needs to annex with either Issaquah or Sammamish (cost reasons) Removing Klahanie Park from the PAA makes Klahanie less attractive to either city Proposed improvements to Klahanie Park by Sammamish would: Increase traffic/vandalism Depress property values Concerned Citizens of Klahanie www.klahanie.org
