  11. The WHAT State & Tribal Wildlife Grants Program… • CORE program for preventing federal endangered species listings • Used to address 12,000 species • Directly supports State Wildlife Action Plans • Non-regulatory, voluntary & incentive-based

The WHY State & Tribal Wildlife Grants Program… • Has reduced federal ESA listings • Is addressing invasive species & disease issues • Can support environmental reviews • Funds revision & implementation of State Wildlife Action Plans • Used to conserve fish & wildlife on tribal lands • Helps states prepare for & address climate change
