Goals • To give 8th grade students in Mundelein, Illinois a “taste of college” through campus visits. • To provide information and tools parents need to understand the American educational system.
Why? Why 8th grade? • Motivation to continue • Importance of freshmen year Why Mundelein? • Large first generation Latino population (differences in systems)

Program Data In 2018, 84% of students responding to the post-program survey reported that they planned to attend college immediately following high school.
