This study focuses on optimizing the design and positioning of septum magnets for efficient particle extraction in accelerators. It covers magnetic steel coil configurations, geometric considerations, and field quality evaluations, aiming to enhance performance while minimizing stray fields. Different septum geometries and their impact on beam clearance and rotation angles are analyzed to determine the most effective solution. The research also explores the use of thin and thick septum designs with varying apertures to address clearance and field strength requirements. The study includes detailed modeling and simulation data for 200 injection/extraction scenarios, considering phase-space painting and closed orbits operations, to validate the effectiveness of the proposed septum magnet configurations. Furthermore, it explores the use of inductive and delay-line magnet designs for kickers, evaluating their suitability for the Accelerator for Material Science (EMMA) project.
