  2. When is it?!? • Math and Reading- • Grade 10 – May 12th& 15th • Grade 9- May 13th& 16th

  3. Preparing for DCAS: • Be rested and comfortable. • Eat a healthy breakfast on the day of the test. • Come to school on time. • Expect some anxiety. Being concerned will help you do your best on the test. • Visualize taking the test, succeeding, and celebrating. • No electronic devices (phones, i-pods, e-readers, etc) at your seat during testing.

Day of DCAS Testing: • Arrive to school on time- eat breakfast in the cafeteria if needed • An announcement will be made for students to report to their assigned testing room at 7:35 • Upon entering the testing area you must place all belongings(back pack, purse, etc.) in designated section of the classroom. CELLPHONES ARE NOT TO BE VISIBLE IN THE TESTING AREA.

FAQ of students: • I received a 4 and met my growth goal on both DCAS Spring 1 tests- when do I report for testing? • It is not necessary for you to come to school on the mornings of testing, if you do report you will be going to an non-testing room. • I received a 4 and met my growth goal on one of my Spring 1 DCAS tests- do I need to come to both testing days for my grade level? • No, only come to the first day of testing for your grade level. (Report on May 12th-10th grade/ Report on May 13th- 9th grade) • When it is not my day to test where will I go? • You will be assigned a non-testing room while testing is occurring.

FAQ of students cont.: • On the days when I am not testing (9th/10th graders) will I get in trouble if I don’t report in the morning to school? • No, but please be sure to make it back for afternoon classes • I have an AP test during the time of DCAS what should I do? • Report to your AP testing room as directed • I am in the 11th & 12th grade, if I report to school on the mornings of testing what will I be doing? • You will report to the cafeteria and remain there until DCAS testing is complete, you will only be allowed to leave the cafeteria for emergences

  8. FAQ of students cont.: • What classes will I have when testing is over? • When will I eat lunch? • You will eat lunch during the time of the teacher you have THAT day. Example: May 7th lets say you have Ms. Smith 3rd period and she eats A lunch…you will eat A lunch

  9. FAQ OF STUDENTS CONT. • What if I don’t finish my testing during the allotted time? • You will be escorted to a quiet area to finish that day • What if I am absent on a day my grade is testing? • Make-ups will take place the following week
