Is the DCAS more accurate than DSTP? • It has been extremely difficult getting any psychometric data on the DCAS • The following is what we do know: • The conditional standard of error of measurement appears to be no better than the DSTP.
What is Standard Error of Measurement? • It represents the amount of variance in a score resulting from factors other than achievement. • If a single student were to take the same test repeatedly (with no new learning taking place between testings and no memory of question effects), the standard deviation of his/her repeated test scores is denoted as the standard error of measurement.
