aSc Master Table Builder Partnering to provide excellent software to our schools!
Why aSc • Built using the course requests • Builds a better schedule • Saves time
Beta Results • Loudonville @TCCSA • Scheduling issues for past few years • Lack of scheduling understanding • Singletons • Used it for both HS and MS • Results 99 percent scheduled MS • Results 97 percent scheduled HS
Beta Results • Gallipolis @SCOCA • Ex Harris/ACE district • Doesn’t start schedule until mid summer • Used it for both HS and MS • HS Results 99.5 percent scheduled
Beta Results • Others: • Matt Wagner @NOECA • Used it for two districts • Mariemont @HCCA • Only getting 50% scheduled • Laura Gallogly was able to get 94%
Functionality • Supports Class Groups • Supports Priority Scheduling • Lunch Scheduling • Periods or Mods • Builds schedule based on requests • Save multiple results • One click download and upload • Sync updates with StudentInformation/DASL • Constraints and More…
The Challenge • There is a cost: • $400 per year per school (or) • $2000 one time license • optional $100/year maintenance fee • Districts can try it for free • Approach building the schedule differently
Step 1 • Load data from StudentInformation/DASL • Students • Course Requests • Teachers • Rooms • Bell schedule • Last years course/sections
Step 2 • Create the necessary sections • Add necessary sections • Too many students • No sections for requests • Resolve inconsistences • Teachers over scheduled • Room over booked • Students over scheduled
Step 3 • Generate a Schedule • Repeat until you are happy
Step 4 • Load schedule into StudentInformation/DASL
Support • School ->ITC -> SSST -> Software Answers -> aSc
