  2. Problem • Do different brands of popcorn leave different amounts of un-popped popcorn kernels?

  3. Hypothesis • I predict that the Orville Redenbacher’s will leave the least amount of kernels left over after being popped, because it is the highest quality brand.

  4. Materials • 4 different brands of popcorn • Microwave • Paper • Pencil • Camera

  5. Procedure • Need 4 different brands of popcorn • Pop the popcorn for the same amount of time • Take pictures while popcorn is popping • Count all of the un-popped popcorn kernels in each bag and record it down on paper. • Look at all of my results for how many popcorn kernels are left in the bag and then determine which brand of popcorn pops the most kernels.

  6. Results • Orville Redenbacher’s- 33 kernels left over • ACT II- 27 kernels left over • Kroger- 98 kernels left over • Clover Valley- 47 kernels left over

  7. Conclusion • My Hypothesis was wrong Orville Redenbacher’s left 33 un-popped popcorn kernels, when ACT II only had 27 un-popped popcorn kernels.
