Assessment Task – you will create a Spot-the-Difference puzzle aimed at 7-12 year-olds using Fireworks…
ASSESSMENT TASK: • Your work will be assessed after this task. • Your puzzle must be suitable for 7-12 year olds. • You must use a range of tools in Fireworks including Polygon Lasso tool and Rubber Stamp tool. • You must try to present your work in the way you are going to be shown. • You will achieve a higher level by putting in the required effort and by producing a nice-looking puzzle that is suitable for the age group.
This Spot The Difference is aimed at younger kids… • This puzzle has been made by… • …removing some bits from the original picture… • …adding extra things… • …and changing the colour of other items.
Your task: Create a Spot-The-Difference Puzzle • Step 1: Choose a nice picture – type ‘cartoon scene’ into Google Images and find a suitable picture to use.
Step 2: Open the picture in Fireworks – save it as spot-the-difference-original.png • Step 3: Save it again as spot-the-difference-changed.png • Step 4: Make at least 10 changes to the picture using the Polygon Lasso tool and the Rubber Stamp tool (you can also use other tools if needed). Save regularly.
Step 5: Open a new Publisher document (A4 landscape). Insert the two pictures side by side. • Step 6: Add a title, a page border, and some instructions.
