  5. Grading System • 12 point grading system (12=A+) • For a half credit course, 6.0=A+ • Each letter grade represents a percentage range (A+=90-100%) • GPA=Grade Point Average • All your grade points divided by the number of credits

  6. Progressing through your program… • Progression Requirements • Assessed every 4.0 credits • For honours, need a 5.0 (63-66% or a C) overall average and a 5.0 average in your honours courses • To graduate, a 5.0 overall and a 7.0 in honours courses • Your GPA’s are cumulative

  14. Contemporary Studies Contemporary Studies examines current issues from an interdisciplinary perspective and provides the problem solving and research skills that every informed citizen needs to be a contributing member of society.
