About Grants Ontario • Launched January 23, 2012 • Replaces legacy software to offer one-window web access to grants provided by: • Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration • Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport • Supports elements of the 2011 Partnership Project Report: • “…institute standardized application forms, timelines accountability and reporting requirements across ministries and moving as much as possible online.”

Simplified Grant Process • Grants Ontario Web Portal (www.grants.gov.on.ca) • Offers publicly-accessible information about all aspects of MCI and MTCS grants • Step by step guides for enrolling into the Ontario Grants System • Grants Ontario System • 24/7 web-based grants application/administration system • Accessible only via Ontario Government’s encrypted ONe key log-in system keeps data private and secure • Automated features relieve burden of repeated input of information • Digital smart forms customized to the needs of each grant program • On-line report filing available April 2012 • Streamlined payments processes for successful applicants • Customer Service support available during regular business hours

Moving to Grants Ontario • Current MCI and MTCS grant recipients • will be notified by the appropriate ministry contact how the transition to Grants Ontario will affect them and the use of the new system. This will vary program by program. • 2012 and Future Grants • grant programs launched beginning in 2012 will be posted in the Grants Ontario Web Portal (www.grants.gov.on.ca) and applications must be submitted electronically via the Grants Ontario System.

Applicants Must First Register to use Grants Ontario • Organizations will have access to the system through individuals in their organizations who must complete a ONE TIME enrolment into • ONe key, the Government of Ontario encrypted system and the • Grants Ontario System • This can take up to 5 business days. • Enrolment should be done as soon as possible and is not tied to any grant program or application cycle. • The Grants Ontario Web Portal contains detailed instructions how to register as well as Q&A • For assistance email (GrantsOntarioCS@ontario.ca) or telephone 416-325-6691 or 1-855-216-3090 during regular business hours
