  2. The 2nd annual celebration took place February 24th at 8:30-10:00 a.m. at the Fairfield Inn and Suites 633 Great Northern Road. Invited guests and speakers include Her Worship Mayor Debbie Amaroso, Deputy Police Chief Bob Kates and Safe Communities Partnerships President, Brian Curran. Response to the training has been enthusiastic and welcoming. Melissa Parr, General Manager at Fairfield Inn and Suites stated: "At the Fairfield Inn & Suites, we understand domestic violence is a serious issue. The Neighbours, Friends and Families program is an excellent resource to help companies educate and train staff, not only of the warning signs, but on how to respond and help someone who is being affected by domestic violence.“ The Recognition Ceremony is organized by the Algoma Council on Domestic Violence.
