Wednesday, March 26 – 1st grade musical @ 8:45 for PK and K Thursday, March 27 – 1st grade musical @ 8:45 for 2nd, 3rd, & 4th / Evening performance @ 6:30 Friday, March 28 – end of 5th six weeks Monday, March 31 – Friday, April 4 – SPRING BREAK  • What We’re Learning: • Reading : The Big Trip • Genre: Fantasy • Skill: Compare and Contrast • Author’s Purpose: Entertain • Grammar Compound Sentences using conjunctions • Phonics: Long E/ Vowel Pair ee and ea/ Phonogram -ink • Treasure Book:The Three Little Pigs and The True Story of the Three Little Pigs (We will compare and contrast the two stories) • Math: Addition, subtraction, money, counting, place, and patterns (we do these daily) • Topic 8 Geometry • Identifying Plane Shapes • Properties of Plane Shapes • Making New Shapes From Shapes • Breaking Apart Shapes to Make Shapes • Ways to Move Shapes • Congruence • Symmetry Complete homework: Monday: Math PAMS, Spelling worksheet, and read story Tuesday: Grammar PAMS and Spelling worksheet Wednesday: Math PAMS Thursday; Grammar PAMS, Spelling worksheet, and read story Always study sight words in the back of your students binder. • Notes from the teacher: • All of your students graded papers and any activities that we do in the classroom will be in their purple folder. Graded papers need to be signed and returned • Please check your student’s agenda every night and initial it. • Remember to study sight words! • We will not test on The Big Trip until 3/26/14
