What Do Ribosomes Do? • Ribosomes have one important job within the cell, they manufacture proteins. • In order to complete this tedious task they go through a series of steps in other words protein synthesis. • Initiation • Elongation • Termination Extra Fact: Ribosomes use RNA to complete the process of protein synthesis. • Their position in a factory: general manager • Location within a cell: they are found both attached and detached within a cell. • Were they are found: they are found in prokaryotes and eukaryotes.

What Do Cilia Do? • Cilia looks similar to grass although this true they play a key role in a cell’s navigation. • Prokaryotic cellshave this organelle as well as some eukaryotic cells. • If cilia were a piece of machinery involved with a factory it would be the generator because it helps the cell move similar to how the generator powers objects so they can move. Extra Fact: Cilia are also in your lungs.
