  2. Midterm Exam • Full 3 hours (until 9) if you want it • In room N153 • 6 essay questions • Questions and responses on the computers • Same computer program as you had in 7W:135 • 20% of course grade • Covering all chapters and articles

  3. Midterm Exam • Will emphasize major principles, issues, debates, and conflicting ideas. • Be prepared to integrate, summarize, evaluate. • Know your sources (chapters and articles) for giving support. • You may bring 4 pages (sides) of notes.

  4. Midterm Exam Sample Question 1 • Discuss the appropriateness of using a constructivist versus an instructivist approach to learning in a web-delivered course.

  5. Midterm Exam Sample Question 2 • You have been hired by a university to do a usability assessment of their just programmed and very first fully web-delivered course. Describe to the client your plan for doing a usability assessment. Then justify to me the characteristics of your plan.

  6. Evaluation of Design Documents Anne will evaluate materials by Soojung & Svetlana. Jane S. will evaluate materials by Jacqueline & Craig. Huijuan will evaluate materials by Jane G. Lia will evaluate materials by Monica & Lida. Follow your evaluationplan. Evaluators talk. Designers listen. As much as possible. When done, evaluators should rejoin your own groups. Please try to be done by 7:15 p.m. Turn in your design materials and your diaries/logs.
