Ford Foundation Project • Began conversations with Ford Foundation in fall, 1995 - spring, 1996 • Proposal submitted to Ford in fall, 1996 to develop civic network model sites in Russia • Proposal accepted in January, 1997 • Work began April 1, 1997 • 8 month planning project ($65,000) concluded November 30, 1997 • Implementation grant ($255,000) began April 1, 1998 • 2 year Extension grant ($300,000) began July 1, 1999 Washington, DC
