“STATEWIDE” • “STATEWIDE” GOVERNANCE: • IDAHO STATEWIDE INTEROPERABILITY EXECUTIVE COUNCIL (SIEC) • IDAHO CODE 46-1200 • PURPOSE: THE COUNCIL WILL SERVE AS THE GOVERNING BODY IN AFFAIRS OF PUBLIC SAFETY WIRELESS RADIO INTEROPERABLE COMMUNICATIONS FOR LOCAL AND PRIVATE ENTITIES AND COORDINATE WITH THE MILITARY DIVISION.

IN THE NEAR FUTURE… • Operational Needs and Technical Resource Assessment at mid point • Completion and report release late fall 2008 • Will provide additional justification for future grant applications • 08 Interoperable Emergency Communications Grant Program • FOCUS: • 1) Leadership and Governance; and • 2) Common Planning and Operational Protocols, and Emergency Responder Skills and Capabilities • NOT AN EQUIPMENT GRANT
THANKS TO YOU ALL… • APPROVED COUNTY INTEROPERABLE EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS PLANS • COUNTY PLANS: • SUPPORT YOUR EMERGENCY RESPONDER GRANT APPLICATIONS • PROVIDES THE COUNTY LOCAL / REGIONAL DIRECTION FOR INVESTMENTS • PROVIDES THE SUPPORTING INFORMATION FOR THE SIEC AND BHS TO SEEK GRANT FUNDING FOR LOCAL PASS THROUGH • PLANS SUBMITTED AND APPROVED FOR 39 OF 44 COUNTIES, 2 OF 3 TRIBAL GOVERNMENTS – 2 COUNTIES ARE IN THE REVIEW PROCESS
