Prioritize Education Funding The 3Rs of Fair Funding: Reinvest, Reform & Restore
3Rs: REINVEST in Public Schools Return to reasonable Revenue Limits growth
3Rs: REINVEST in Public Schools Reinvest in State Aid to support local schools
3Rs: REFORM School Funding Formula • Establish Minimum Aid Per Student: Ensure the State invests at least $3,000 per student in every Wisconsin kid. • Incorporate Ability to Pay (Poverty Factor): Account for local property wealth and family income in school funding. • Increase Transparency: Transfer the levy credit into state aid, so all school funding would go directly to districts. • Provide Predictability & Sustainability: Index revenue limits and state aid to inflation to keep pace with costs.
3Rs: RESTORE Respect for Education • Restore respect in education starting with parents and teachers. • Provide crucial resources to add back staff to reduce class sizes and restore cuts to career and technical education as well as electives like music, art, and physical education. • Expand access to technology, next generation learning and career- and college-ready assessments like ACT.
