Past Tense • Shows that an action has already been carried out. • Ex. • I worked. • I was working.
Present Tense • Shows that an action is in the process of being carried out. • Ex. • I work. • I am working.
Future Tense • Shows that an action will be carried out. • Ex. • I will work. • I will be working.
Present Perfect • Shows that an action was started in the past but is not yet completed. • I have worked. • I have been working.
Past Perfect • Shows that an action occurred in the past and is now completed. • I had worked. • I had been working.
Future Perfect • Shows that an unfinished action is about to occur. • I will have worked. • I will have been working.
