  3. Present Tense Tells about an action or state of being that is happening NOW. I workat school. I am late for class.

  4. Forming the Present Tense To form the present tense Keep the basic form of the verb OR Add –s or -es

  5. Forming the Present Tense I ride. You ride. Mary rides.

  6. The PRESENT tense names an action that is happening now. The pitcher throws the ball to the catcher. Pettitte plays for the Yankees. The batter walks to 1st base.
