Schedule A typical day includes: • Mathematics (45 minutes) • Literacy Block (90 minutes) • Science/Social Studies Themes (40 minutes) • 2 Specials daily (Music, Art, Spanish, PE, Guidance) • Snack and Lunch • Recess (30 minutes) • Rest Time or D.E.A.R. (30 minutes) • Morning Meet and Closing Meet (40 minutes)

  7. Experiential Education Is engaging, hands-on, incorporates Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences Theory of Learning, and is FUN!

  8. Technology Kindergarten currently has a Smartboard, one iPod, two iPads, and four laptop computers! Students interact with and utilize technology on a daily basis.

About your Teachers Mrs. Wendy Geise • M.Ed in Early Childhood Ed. /Literacy • Certified Pre-K through 6th Elementary and 7-9th Science; Certified STEAM educator • Over 11 years classroom experience in GA and NC (K, 3rd, 5th, 7th) • Varied career includes Program/Content Creator at Georgia Aquarium and Manager with Whole Foods Market! Mrs. Allison Weislak • Assistant who has worked at OCS since its inception in 1997. • Both daughters attended OCS!
