  2. South Africa Welcomes SADHU Prof V. RANGARAJAN Acclaimed Hindu Scholar and saint-a friend of the spiritual seeker, Honorable Pujya Sadhuji Prof V. Rangarajan is currently in SA delivering discourses, lectures and sharing spiritual insights and the lofty ideals of Bharathavarsha in a post modernist context. At the same time Sadhu will engage leading minds in the world of inter-faith dialogue and understanding. WHO IS THE SADHU? Regarded as a renaissance thinker, Sadhu V Rangarajan shares a deep insight into ancient Vedic spirituality and universal human values that breathes new life into the eternal essence of Unity in Consciousness.  Rising above the narrow considerations of caste, colour, religion, background, Sadhu shares insightful wisdom on the eternal questions of life: who am I, where did I come from and what is my ultimate destiny? Such areas of deep reflection, Sadhu answers with profound humility and with clarity of thought, leaves the audience spellbound Sadhu has met a range of influential leaders in SA from government, to religious organizations, youth organizations as well as business groups, sharing wisdom.

  3. Background Sadhu Prof Rangarajan, disciple of H.H. Yogi Ramsuratkumar of Tiruvannamalai and Founder Trustee of Sister Nivedita Academy has visited SA since 1985, for the first time on an invitation from the Divine Life Society of SA, to edit the society’s prestigious publication, Yoga Lessons for Children in 6 Volumes, published on the occasion of the centenary of Swami Sivananda. Sadhu Rangarajan also visited SA in June-August 1995 when he went there to help in organising the World Hindu Conference in Durban from July 7-11, 1996 which was addressed by distinguished personalities and luminaries, saints and sadhus from all over the world, including Dr Nelson Mandela, the then President of the Republic of SA. He also toured the entire country giving lectures and addressing Hindu organisations to bring the Hindus under one banner.

  4. Indo-Afro Connection SA VISIT- (PICTURE: AbbuLingam and Parambhu)-Cape In his recent visit to South Africa, Sadhu Prof V. Rangarajan has also met with various religious and community leaders and has given blessings to devotees from different faiths. In KZN Sadhu started the e-Learning Programme on Values as well as on “VIJNANA BHARATI - Course on Indian Thought and Culture”. As explained by late Swami Mukhyanandaji of Ramakrishna Math and Mission, The Journey through the Karoo in the Cape was to visit ancient sites of Afro Hindu prayer shrines and discover how India and Africa once co existed. Insightful, informative and enlightening Sunday 15th April 2012: Sadhu also engaged with young South Africans on deep questions of Who we are? Religion and Money? Sport and the youth as well as Blessings from various individuals, writers and media personnel.
