Kinesiology Proposals • Proposal documents received by SAAC on February 18, 2015 • Reviewed March 10th-April 1st • Committee voted electronically on April 1st and approved all requested changes • Overview of course changes • Change course number and name from EXSC 365 (Contemporary Issues in Exercise Science and Sport) to EXSC 265 (Contemporary Issues in Kinesiology • Change course number and name from EXSC 352 (Exercise and Sport Psychology) to EXSC 252 (Sports Psychology) • Remove EXSC 382 (Sociocultural Analysis of Sports) as a course option in the clinical concentration • Add EXSC 252 as a course option in the clinical concentration

Criminal Justice Proposals • Proposal documents received by SAAC on March 4, 2015 • Reviewed March 10th-April 1st • Committee voted electronically on April 1st and approved all requested changes • Overview of course changes • To facilitate course transfer from community colleges • Change the number for CRJS 300 (Criminal Law) to CRJS 203 • Change the number for CRJS 312 (Criminology) to CRJS 212 • Change the number for CRJS 326 (Juvenile Delinquency) to CRJS 226 • Change the number for CRJS 401 (Research Methods in Criminology and Criminal Justice) to CRJS 290 • Adjust level at which course is taught • Update catalog description

Fine Arts Proposals • Proposal documents received by SAAC on February 27, 2015 • Reviewed March 10th – April 3rd • Committee voted on April 6th and approved all requested changes • Overview of program change (music minor) • Change the number of credit hours required from 18 credits to17-19 credits • Add MUSI 205 as a required course • Remove MUSI 103 and 313 as required courses • Remove requirement of MUSI 113 or 116 • Add MUSI 113, 114, 116, and one course from MUSI 141-150 (with department consent) as options for the required 4 credits total of Ensembles • Add 13 courses as elective options, where 4-6 credits of these courses are required (see proposal document for list of courses)

Core: Music Theory Prep II) to MUSI 132 (Introduction to Music Theory II) and update catalog description • Change the course number and title for MUSI 288/Online (History of World Music) to MUSI 161/Online (Survey of World Music/Online) • Eliminate MUSI 220A-O (Introduction to Jazz Improvisation)

Committee Updates • May SAAC meeting • Evaluation of process used in AY2014-2015 • Identify areas of improvement • Operating procedures of committee • AY2015-2016 review windows TBD by SAAC at a later date • Proposals received by SAAC after March 6, 2015 • Departments can continue to submit proposals to Academic Affairs • Proposals will be forwarded and held by SAAC chair until fall semester • Department chairs will be notified in the fall of when their proposals will be reviewed/presented
